I read about a technique in Cruising World to solve the problem of a current different from the wind. You take a line from the stern of the boat on the side opposite the current and tie it off on the anchor chain. When you tighten the line it turns the bow of the boat into the current. (I could have my sides backwards but the technique is correct I am sure).

Let me know if you try it. All the cold weather you are describing makes crew Kerry very happy she is in warm Ohio!

Who cleaned the trout you got from the fishman?  :-)
